Today we arrive in one of the most exciting cities in the world! Rome is FULL of amazing things to see and do, and you won't want to miss Trevi Fountain, the Vatican, the Forum and as many others as you can. Tonight Going Places International will host an opening reception to welcome you to The Eternal City!

Friday, 5/17
Continue your tour of the city with the Hop-On Hop-Off bus, then take your time enjoying the surrounding neighborhoods. Tonight we will go to a jazz club near the famous Spanish Steps.
​

Saturday, 5/18
Travasterre, is the trendy upscale area of the city. You can visit on your own, in groups, or not at all . . . it's totally up to you!
​
​
Sunday, 5/19
Today we will say goodbye to Rome and head to Pompeii where we will enjoy a tour of the famous ruins with an Italian historian. We will continue on to Sorrento on the Amalfi coast and enjoy a delightful lunch on the seaside.
Monday, 5/20
After breakfast, we will tour the entire Amalfi Coast in a Mercedes van with a driver/guide who speaks great English and knows the history of the area. From Sorrento to Positano, we'll stop along the way and enjoy the magnificent sights the coast has to offer. A short drive to the top of a mountain in Ravello will take us to lunch in a charming restaurant with a scenic view.

Tuesday, 5/21
A hydrofoil will provide a 20 minute jet ride over to the Island of Capri. We'll meander the streets of the world-renowned island, shop in the boutiques and even take a canoe ride in the Blue Grotto where the water is so blue and clear that it illuminates the tunnel inside.

Wednesday, 5/21
A comfortable first-class train ride will bring us to Florence, the cradle of The Renaissance. Its museums, palaces, and churches house some of the greatest artistic treasures in the world. The Cathedral of Florence began construction in 1296 and took 600 years to complete.
Thursday, 5/23
If you like Italian leather goods, Florence is the place to shop for purses, shoes, wallets, luggage and more. They have it all for both men and women and at prices that are hard to beat. Take a break from sightseeing to check out the hundreds of leather-good stores in Florence, the hard part is deciding which one to shop at.

Friday, 5/24
We'll take an early train to Pisa for photo opps of the iconic Leaning Tower. Already tilting when it was completed in 1372, it's a perfect place for a selfie to share with family. After lunch, we'll head to Rimini to Relax, Relax, Relax.

Saturday, 5/25
Rimini! The largest beach resort on the Adriatic Sea, the city offers nearly ten miles of beaches with private access from our hotel. Here you will kick back and enjoy the sun and the seaside. There are also restaurants and nightclubs galore and we want to experience as many of them as we can!
​
Sunday, 5/26
Included in the package is a day trip to the serene Republic of San Marino, a must-see destination for lovers of history—and for those who enjoy picturesque panoramas. One of the world’s smallest and oldest republics, San Marino technically isn't Italy, but it is surrounded by Italy’s Emilia-Romagna and Le Marche regions near the Adriatic Sea. This one-of-a-kind destination also offers unique and affordable shopping.

Monday, 5/27
Off to Venice to experience the city of canals and its more than 400 bridges. It's a unique experience that only exists here and offers us amazing photo opportunities. Tonight's opening reception will take place on the famous Grand Canal. St. Mark's Square is a must-see and you can optionally visit the Murano glass factory.

Tuesday, 5/28
We have experienced a whirlwind tour of Italy and seen the most famous sites as well as small towns and villages American travelers rarely touch foot upon. This has been a true Italian adventure and there's no doubt your memories of the people and places are plentiful! On our way to the airport today to return home. Arrivaderci!!!
